@ the garden tables

Hi dear friends. As the title suggests, yes, today was a perfectly horrid day. But I guess if you look at it from another perspective, everyday is a horrid day. But that’s beside the point. First, I would like to bitch about one particular platoon mate of mine, yes, bitch about him. Hah~ See this guy, initially being appointed as a 3rd IC for the platoon, was meek and timid and useless. However as day one progressed, he somehow miraculously transformed into this naggy, noisy, big-headed(literally, his head is bigger than a size 5 standard football) and power-wielding(whoa…) asshole. Woops sorry, please pardon me but I must use that term “asshole”, cuz for so much of the time that’s all you get to see. Well ok not the hole, but the whole big fat ass. Argh. This is why: Every single practical lesson, which is like the time when we get to go down to the workshop and do some hands-on mechanic work, whenever the instructor has something to demonstrate or explain, he would invariably be at the most forefront of the whole group as we gather around, so all you see of him is his ass. Now you see, that is perfectly fine, he being the knowledge-hungry super-enthusiastic loser. What gets on my nerves, and just about everyone else’s, is that as soon as he finds his spot at the forefront, he will remain there forever and ever till the cows come home. Perhaps it be good that I explained that due to some unfortunate circumstances this cohort of trainees is unusually huge so it’s really difficult to conduct practical lessons. Done. So yea, basically, he gets his fair share of education, but refuses to make way for others to take a look/feel what the instructors are talking about. And this even after the instructors very explicitly say, “dose whoo-uh seen de ding moo-uh aside, let dee udders dake a loook”(to quote one of my very interesting instructors). It’s disgusting. And today, we witnessed a whole new phenomenon, that of the tidal wave. Goodness knows what he’s thinking, PUSHING people aside to get in front, exclaiming not so loudly, “let me see, let me see”. I cannot comprehend. I cannot. Why I’d be damned if I ended up with better results than him at the end of the course(which is the most likely, hah!) just by slacking around and acting disinterested while he’s out there so eagerly learning. Ptfuee!!

But of course the most horrid part of the day was when this other platoon mate of mine somehow managed to get hold of my phone and sent junk sms to a friend, a female friend. I’d explained and she didn’t seem too impressed, not surprising at all. I don’t really blame him, cuz well, it is expected of guys to be immature losers, even much more in camp. I am utterly disgusted, that such idiotic activity could have taken place upon my very own handphone, the sms right out of my sim card. Of course he didn’t know how seriously I viewed this kinda thing, of course he didn’t know how much this particular friend means to me, I cannot blame him, can I? Fortunately enough my friend’s too nice a person to mind, and that’s the end of this story. =/

And what better way to end the perfectly horrid day than with a farcical accident? To be absolutely brief, while alighting from the bus on my way home, I actually managed to fall flat on my face. Period.
